Football
We are proud of our football program at St. Bede. We have made it to the state playoffs the past three years. Freshmen have an opportunity at St. Bede to play their own schedule. This allows them to develop their football talent while playing other athletes their own age.

    Cross Country
    The Cross Country team has had an outstanding past two seasons. In 2004, the team qualified for state for the first time in school history. This year Matt Morse, a junior, won the regional title and competed at the state level.

  • Coach's Comments: This past fall I completed my 7th season as Head Coach of the St. Bede Cross Country program. In those seven seasons the program has steadily improved with many runners qualifying for state, sectional, regional, and conference honors.

  • Purpose/Goal: To provide a positive, goal oriented environment in which individual improvement is stressed in order to achieve as a team. To learn how to work within a team atmosphere, set personal goals and achieve those goals. Through hard work and commitment find something out about your character.


    Golf
    In 2005 the boy golf team qualified two players for sectionals: Chris Giordano (06), and Tyler Hackman (08)

  • Purpose/Goal: Represent St. Bede, learn & use good etiquette on the course and have fun. Improve your game and end the season a better golfer and person than when you started.

    Girls Sports

    Volleyball

    The volleyball program at St. Bede is a well-established program that offers a competitive schedule for freshmen through seniors. This year the varsity volleyball team had another successful season, finishing the year at 21-10. The team was also runner-up in the Tri-County Conference. Katie Carls and Alyssa Fusinatto, both seniors at SBA, were both awarded all-conference recognition.

  • Coach's Comments: I look forward to working with individuals who are willing to learn a great team sport. A school summer volleyball program is held for several weeks.

    Purpose/Goal: To develop our student athletes into competitive volleyball players on each level. Encourage our student-athletes to incorporate their team building skills into their school, community and their own lives in order to make a difference.


    Tennis

    The girls' tennis team had a very high level of participation, with 13 girls on the team. The girls have the opportunity to play in both singles and doubles matches.

    Cross Country

    The 2005 season proved to be another successful season for the girls cross country team. The team qualified for sectionals as a team, and Michelle Uher (06) and Alyssa Witek (07) were both placed on the all conference team.

    Cheerleading

    At the freshmen and sophomore levels, girls are allowed to choose whether to cheer in the fall or winter or both; this allows girls the chance to try volleyball or basketball while still participating in cheerleading for one season.

    Although the main purpose of cheerleaders is to cheer on the SBA teams on the field, cheerleaders also participate in many school spirit activities.
