Practices: A training practice lasting about 1 - 1½ hours in May and
August. Special practices lasting ½ to 1 hour for Christmas and Easter
liturgies (Masses) and for professions, ordinations and funerals when
they occur.
Transportation: Student provides own transportation
Purpose/Goal: The Saint Bede Abbey Mass Servers are a group of 8 to
10 junior and senior boys who volunteer and agree to serve at Masses
for the Saint Bede Abbey monastic community. If chosen as a junior,
then you are a member for both junior and senior years.
EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS
Moderator: Fr. Michael Calhoun

Comments: The Eucharistic ministers assist the chaplain at all
school masses in the distribution of communion.

Personal Equipment:
Practices: The Chaplain meets with Eucharistic ministers prior to
their installation. They are encouraged to be a positive Christian
influence toward their classmates and the student body, in general.
Transportation:
Purpose/Goal: To enhance and encourage the Eucharistic ministers
growth as a Christian and reverence for the Eucharist, specifically.
