Baseball
The tradition of an excellent baseball program continues year after
year at St. Bede. The program that brought home the state
championship in 1988 continues to flourish. Individually, Chris
Halberg (05),was named 1st team all conference.

Tennis
In 2005 the boys's tennis team celebrated a very successful season.
Five Players qualified for state competition. Thomas Sitterly, (05),
Dylan Slupianek (05) , Kyle Entwistle (05), Pete Faletti (05), all
qualified for state in doubles, and Mathew Morse (07), qualified in
singles.

Purpose/Goal: To learn the game and compete at a high school level.
Track & Field
The boys' track and field team offers freshmen through seniors the
opportunity to compete in both running and field events. The
2004-2005 team featured excellent long distance running, with Jeff
Mills, (05), and Vinny Maggi, (06), qualifying for state
competition.

Coach's Comments: This will be my sixth season coaching high
school track & field. I have seen many student-athletes succeed
reaching personal & team goals while receiving medals and
recognition.

Personal Equipment: Training shoes & racing spike or flats
Practices: After school, dress for the weather
Transportation: School van or bus
Purpose/Goal: To build confidence and self-esteem by developing
skills within a positive and competitive atmosphere. Stressing
academic achievement, athletic success, work ethic and strong
character. Each athlete will learn the skills and rules of track and
field as well as enjoy the experience that athletic participation
can bring.

Girls Sports
Softball
Freshman through senior girls are offered the opportunity to
participate in softball. In 2005 the St. Bede girls softball team
competed in the regional championship game. Individually, Caitlin
Gidcumb, (Sr) and Katie Carls, (Sr), were named all conference.

Coach's Comments: Fastpitch softball is a fast paced sport that is
being played at a higher-level every year. It requires individuals to
constantly improve and learn to function as a team.

Purpose/Goal: While our goal is to be a state champion, we know that
can happen only when every individual on the team can improve every
season. Player should have personal and team goals and work to meet
them, with a commitment to team success.
