Girls Sports
Basketball
The St. Bede Academy girls basketball program has had many successes
in past years. The 2004-2005 season was no different. The varsity team
finished second in the Tri-County Conference, and competed in the
regional championship game. Individually, five girls were named to the
all-Conference team and three were named first team in both the Bureau
County Republican and NewsTribune Papers. Katie Carls (06) was also
named to 3rd team all state.

Coach's Comments: Lady Bruin basketball has established a presence
in the state for producing highly competitive teams, with
student-athletes who work hard to represent St. Bede Academy with the
highest level of class and sportsmanship. We strive to develop the
whole person so that lessons learned within the program are applicable
to life after basketball. With our competitive schedule and history of
success, we have sent several girls to play basketball in college.
