Advent is the spiritual season of hope and in this season, the whole Church is called to be hope, for itself and for the world.

  • The candles of the Advent wreath will be lit each day during the Advent season as we look forward to celebrating Christ's birth.

  • The National Evangelization Team will be here for reflection days for sophomores on Thursday and freshmen on Friday.

  • Tomorrow is our all-school Thanksgiving service. Please remember to bring your class item to be donated to the food pantry.  We will take up a collection at the service.

Payment is not due at this time and should not be submitted until requested. This is for students taking English 1002 and Music Appreciation for the Spring semester. Philosophy will not be offered for the Spring 2022 semester. We will have an in-person instructor on site for the Music Appreciation. It will not be an online class.

Sophomores will donate to the tree outside of the refectory and Freshmen will donate to the tree outside of Mrs. Morrows classroom.

  • Student’s that have signed up to go to the Shedd Aquarium and the Field Museum on Nov. 24 get your permission slips and money turned into the office by this Friday.  If your form and money are not in by Friday, your spot will be given away.  There is a waiting list for this trip.

  • Girls basketball practice will officially begin tomorrow.  We will follow Monday’s time schedule with Mass starting at 5:30. Parents are invited to attend mass and the meeting that follows!

  • Heritage Club members: Sign up for the rescheduled mandala rock painting event on Saturday, November 6th at 10am. We will meet in the Perino Science Center. If we do not get enough people to sign up, the event will be canceled.

  • The St. Bede Girls and Boys cross country season ended Saturday at the regional meet. St. Bede girls were led by Macy Zeglis's 29th place at 22:35, followed by Jaelyn Weber 30th 22:39, Aleda Hoogland 34th 22:53, Madelyn Torrance 40th 23:07, and Abbie George 51st 25:28. Girls finished 9th overall. Top 7 advance, 7th place was 5 points away. St. Bede Boys they were led by Henry Orteza's 31st place at 17:49, followed by Miguel Jones 37th at 18:30, Josh Grob 47th 19:13, Greyson Marincic 48th 19:14, and returning to the lineup Danial Dugosh 50th 19:17. The boys were 8th, 18 points away from 7th. Congrats to all runners for a Fantastic Season!

  • Boys Basketball: Conditioning is changed from today to tomorrow. We will meet Wednesday by the gym. bring basketball shoes.

  • The next Last Supper Club outing this coming Wednesday at Nina's in La Salle.  There's a sign-up sheet on Fr. Ronald's door.

  • All Students – If you borrow a Chromebook charger from Mr. Harlow, you must return it to his office by 2p the day it was borrowed, or you will be charged $30 to replace the charger. 

  • Girls basketball players are reminded about their work tonight for the 50/50. Meet at the gym before 5:30 shift starts

  • First practice for bowling will be Monday, Oct 25 at IV Superbowl right after school 3:00 pm.  Any boys interested in bowling show up at the first practice.

  • Did you miss auditions for Fall Theatre but still want to get involved? See Fr. Dom during homeroom in room 231 today for an alternate time.

  • Tomorrow is a schedule 2 dress code day which means blue jeans may be worn free of charge they must have no holes or rips and a modest top must be worn no half tops or hoodies.  If you do not choose to wear blue jeans our DENNIS uniform dress code must be followed.  You will be sent home to change if you are not in approved dress code.
