  • Tomorrow is our last day before the Thanksgiving break. Please remember to bring food items in for our hungry sisters and brothers.

  • Students there are coat racks for you to hang your winter coats as the weather gets colder.  Freshman and sophomores your coat racks are in the PSC near the vending machines.  Juniors and seniors your coat racks are in the refectory. As a reminder:  Dennis uniform jackets are the only permitted jackets to wear in the class rooms.

  • Lunch orders were collected on Friday last week for December lunches for when we return in person.  If you were not here Friday, please see Mrs. Plankenhorn for a form.

  • STUDENTS:  When you return from being absent, even if you were remote learning, PLEASE stop in the main office and let Mrs. Plankenhorn know you are back.

  • Driver Ed students that are driving this quarter please check your emails for a message from Mr. Filippini regarding your driving the week after Thanksgiving.

  • Jean Day on Friday.  Funds will go to helping make needy children's Christmas special.  Jeans may be worn for a donation – no holes or rips, modest tops and no hoodies.

  • Drive through the City of LaSalle Lights Festival tonight at Rotary Park in LaSalle. The event is free but donations are accepted. 50% of all money collected on this date will be donated to St. Bede Academy!

  • Remember, you need to follow the SBA dress code. Gentleman, shirts must be tucked in and belts must be worn. Also, the only sweatshirts that are allowed are the Denis uniform ¼ zips or crewnecks. Hoodies and sport pull overs are not acceptable. We will begin writing dress code violations for these.

  • Juniors - Listen carefully to this PSAT test information! Tomorrow morning you need to enter the building through the PSC doors. This is a regular schedule 1 dress code day. - You must be in your testing room, pencils sharpened, sitting in your seat, ready to begin testing by 7:50 am – the test will conclude at approx. 11:30 am. You will be dismissed by your room supervisor when your entire classroom is finished testing. - Check your room assignment today in Google Classroom so you know exactly where to go tomorrow morning. - Room assignments are also posted in Mrs Prushinski’s classroom - Leave your cell phone, smart watch, Chromebook and all electronic devices in your car! Do not bring them into the building – You are responsible to bring the following items:

    Calculator - TI-84 or a 4-function calculator - Email Ms Bernabei to have your calculator approved BEFORE test day if you have a calculator other than the ones listed. - If you need to borrow a calculator do this today. DO NOT wait until tomorrow morning to find a calculator! We will not have calculators available to borrow on the morning of the test.

    Back-up calculator and/or extra batteries, just in case.

    2-3 sharpened pencils and a good eraser - No Mechanical pencils

    Go to bed early tonight and eat a good breakfast tomorrow so you can earn a score that reflects your true ability!

  • Seniors – Listen carefully to this ACT test information! Tomorrow morning you need to enter the building through the PSC doors. This is a regular schedule 1 dress code day. - You must be in your testing room, pencils sharpened, sitting in your seat, ready to begin testing by 7:50 am – the test will conclude at approx. 12:30 pm. You will be dismissed by your room supervisor when your entire classroom is finished testing. - Check your room assignment today so you know exactly where to go tomorrow morning. - Room assignments are posted in your English classroom and on the front doors of the PSC - Leave your cell phone, smart watch, Chromebook and all electronic devices in your car! Do not bring them into the building – You are responsible to bring the following items:

    Calculator - TI-84, TI-Nspire cx (non-CAS) or a 4-function calculator - See Ms. Bernabei to have your calculator approved BEFORE test day if you have a calculator other than the ones listed. - If you need to borrow a calculator do this BEFORE test day. - We will not have calculators available to borrow on the morning of the test.

    Back-up calculator and/or extra batteries, just in case.

    2-3 sharpened pencils and a good eraser - No Mechanical Pencils!

    A snack and water to keep your energy up - Granola bars and juice boxes will be provided during the break but you are welcome to bring your own healthy snack.

    ACT tickets and ID are not required.

    Go to bed early tonight and eat a good breakfast so you can earn a score that reflect your true ability!

  • Juniors and Seniors: The UIUC Virtual College Application Information presentation is Wed, October 7th, 6 - 7 pm you must RSVP in order to receive the zoom link. Check your school email for RSVP instructions. The Financial Aid Information virtual presentation is immediately following from 7-8 pm. All Jrs and Srs will receive a separate link for this presentation in your school email on that day, no RSVP required.

  • Our Donor of the day is Edward Theiss. Mr. Theiss is a 1958 graduate and we have been blessed with his kindness and generosity for decades. Please keep Edward in a special prayer of thanks today.

  • Lectio groups TODAY for sophomores and the first group of freshmen. Get your lunch and come directly to the collaborative room in the Perino Science Center.

  • A few more bags of food have been added to the blue carts. Thanks so much. This weekend is a good time to put aside some cans or boxes of food to bring on Monday.

  • ATTENTION: Student driven vehicles need to enter and exit the campus through the main entrance down the lane. Access through the back road will be blocked. Violators will be subject to detentions and loss of driving privileges.

  • Seniors: If you have still not paid for the Oct 6th ACT you need to bring in a check for $59.00 made out to St. Bede Academy. Write ACT on the memo line. Put your check in a sealed envelope with the student first and last name and ACT printed clearly on the front. Put the check in the box by Mr. Hancock’s desk in the PSC. Payment is due ASAP!

  • Juniors you will take PSAT-NMSQT on Wed. Oct. 14th. This is the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Please prepare so you can earn your best score. See your email for testing tips and study information.
