• This month's food pantry collection is in honor of Fr. Dominic's birthday. He will be turning 64 on the 25th, so we're asking the school to bring in 640 pounds of food for the food pantry in Spring Valley.  We're starting a little late so we'll keep collecting until Tuesday of next week. The religion class with the largest collection will get homemade treats from Fr. Dom!   

• Everyone interested in joining the “AAAA” that is … the Academy Anime Association of the Academy, we will meet in the Refectory after school today from 2:50 to 3:45.

• Congratulations to seniors Andrea Brandner and Alan Spencer for being selected as Teens of the Month by the Oglesby Elks Club! One goal of the Elks Teen of the Month program is to give recognition to the students & teenagers who strive diligently above the rest to become more of a complete citizen and individual.  Students are selected for this honor on the basis of Character, Leadership, Service, Citizenship, Community Service, Scholarship and Best Multiple Achievements. These two students excel in all of these areas. They are role models to all and we are proud to have them in our Bruin family!

• The Class of 1974 donated the funds necessary to create the new bathrooms in the gym. Let's imitate their generosity this week by bringing in food items for the Illinois Valley Food Pantry. Donations must be brought to your religion class!

• There will be Fall Theatre rehearsal today at 4:30 pm in the Little Theatre.

• Any member of Heritage Club who would like to make paper lanterns for the Mid-Autumn festival should complete the Form in the Heritage Club Google Classroom. All materials will be provided. 

• Homecoming sign ups are available all this week during lunch! Tickets are $20 each and can be paid via cash or check. See Mrs. Theisinger with any questions!

• Juniors and seniors- if you signed up to play in the powderpuff game- please bring your shirt money to Mrs. Theisinger’s office! Shirts are $15. Stop in room 102 with any questions!

• Attention ALL girls basketball players: there will be a meeting at Ms. Marx’s classroom (Room 31) FRIDAY during homeroom. Any freshmen girls who plan to play MUST be present!

• Looking for some new spirit wear that no one else has? The girls basketball team will be selling vintage jerseys and other swag during lunch periods next Monday, Wednesday, and Friday outside the Refectory. Bring cash and don’t miss the chance to superfan in style!

• Color and Chill Club will meet today in the PSC today! Snacks and materials will be provided. Come and relax after a week of hard work!

• Anyone that participated in stage crew last year that would like to help with the Variety Show next week please see or email Mrs. Griggs.  Help is needed with sound, lights, curtain, and spotlight.

• St. Bede lanyards with plastic ID holders available in the office for $3.00. This would be a great way to keep track of your ID for lunches.  Replacement ID's will be $5.00 beginning Monday September 23rd.
