  • Any sport bags that are brought to school for after school activities may be stored in room 111.

  • Students if you ordered neck buffs and masks on our initial order form your masks and buffs may be picked up in Mrs. Plankenhorn’s office after school. Our second order is not in yet.

  • During these trying times, let us remember our hungry sisters and brothers. Bring food items in to help ease their hunger.

  • Congratulations to our newly elected Freshmen class representatives. There was a tie in votes at one spot so we have six members: Allison Rimmele, Sam Bima, Rubi De La Torre, Logan Potthoff, Macklin Brady, and Maddie Stanbary. Mrs. Manning will be emailing you information soon.

  • Students please keep your hands off of the ropes and poles of the hallway dividers, also do not step over or go under the ropes. These are here to help keep distance and traffic going in the right direction.

  • Starved Rock Lodge is hiring. You must be 16 year or older. You can go to www.starvedrocklodge.com and click on the employment tab on the bottom of the page to apply online.

  • Masks must be worn from Car to Car: put your mask on when you leave your car and keep it on until you return to your car after school.

  • Students you will not be allowed to stay in school if your parent has not completed your Covid-19 screening prior to 8:00 am every day. Great News: The TE phone app is now working and parents may do the screening on you app if you have it.

  • Volleyball meeting for all athletes interested in participating tomorrow at the shelter.

  • Varsity 4:15; Sophomores 4:45; Freshmen 5:15 Please come at the appropriate time. Parents are welcome, but not required. Please bring a mask. If you are unable to attend the meeting due to a fall sport, please email Coach Bosnich abbosnich@st-bede.com

Attention Students: emails are being sent to you daily you need to check your St. Bede email account.  A lot of problems some of you are experiencing are answered somewhere in your messages. 

Volleyball Meeting for all athletes interested in participating on Wednesday at the shelter. Varsity 4:15; Sophomores 4:45; Freshmen 5:15 Please come at the appropriate time. Parents are welcome, but not required. Please bring a mask.

Covid-19 has changed our lives in many ways.  However, we don't go to bed hungry.  Not true for even more of our sisters and brothers.  Remember them and bring in soup, pasta, vegetables, etc. and fill the blue cart.

Congratulations to Zachary Lambie who turned his hospitality post card in and got a gift card in return.  Another name has been drawn:  AUBREE ACUNCIUS your name was drawn.  Get your post card to Fr. Ronald by end of school tomorrow and get your gift card.

There are a few items to take note of for spirit day:

  1. Do not bring a bookbag or computer to school on Friday. Once we leave the building, no one will be allowed to re-enter.

  2. On spirit day, you may bring your own raft for sliding down the slip ‘n slide. This is optional and St. Bede Academy will not provide these for students. Rafts that are left behind will be thrown away after spirit day activities are finished. 

  3. No one may bring lipstick or any other item(s) to get each other dirty with. 

  4. Seniors may bring their own water squirt tube. It may not resemble a squirt gun in any fashion; if it does, it will be taken from you. St. Bede Academy will not provide these for students. A pool of colored water will be provided to get others wet. The water tubes will be checked to make sure they are empty before you fill them
    with the colored water.

  5. Spirit Day T-shirts will be distributed on Thursday, Sept. 3 as you enter school in the morning. Student government members will give you your shirt after your Covid temperature check. Wear them to school on Friday. You may not rip, cut or disfigure the shirt in any way. If you come to school having done so, you’ll will be
    given something to change into and a dress code violation will be written up.

  6. Grab and Go lunch will be available on Sprit Day. Sign up as usual upon arrival.

Congratulations to Jaelyn Weber & Zachary Lambie.  Last call. Get your Hospitality post card in to Fr. Ronald for your gift card or two new drawings will take place on Monday.

STUDENTS: When you check in in the mornings please stop at the top of the stairs and let Ms. Gayan know if you are purchasing a grab and go lunch for the day.  At 12:15 you then proceed to the refectory to pick up your lunch before you depart the school.

As a reminder English 1001 students need to be here in person for A period on M, W, F.  You do not have to be here until B period on T and Th. You need to sign in at Mr. Hancock’s desk.   Also note that you will be marked UNEXCUSED TARDY if you are not in B period when the bell rings to start class.

All students that are signing in from ACC and English 1001 or signing out of H period study hall the sign IN/OUT sheet will now be at Mr. Hancock’s desk.  If you arrive late or need to leave early and need a pass you will see Mrs. Plankenhorn for those.

Neck buffs and now masks from the initial order this summer are in.  You can pick them up in Mrs. Plankenhorn’s office.

Students that need to go to The Little Theatre for class please use the main doors in the PSC.  Do not go out the West doors.

  • Mrs. Griggs C period report to the study hall. D period to be announced.

  • Cheer tryout workshops will be held on Friday March 27 from 5-7pm and Saturday, March 28 from 12-2pm in the gym. There will be a parent meeting at 7:00 pm Friday, March 27 after the workshop. Cheer tryouts are Sunday March 29 at 4:00pm in the gym.

  • The James Hardie Building Products Engineering Scholarship application is now available. This is a $5,000 award renewable for up to 5 years along with a paid summer internship each summer. This opportunity is only available to St. Bede seniors. See Ms. Bernabei for an application.
