Planned Giving
What is Planned Giving?
Planned Giving is a special way to support Saint Bede’s mission through your financial and estate plans. Whether through a will, trust, retirement account, or life insurance policy, a planned gift allows you to make a lasting contribution without impacting your current lifestyle.
Ways You Can Make a Planned Gift
Bequests
A bequest is a designation in your will that does not affect your finances during your lifetime. It can be specified as a fixed dollar amount, an asset, or a percentage of your estate after all other debts, taxes, and expenses have been made.
Charitable Remainder Trusts
A Charitable Remainder Trust is a planned giving option that allows you to create a fund that pays income to you or your loved ones for a period of time. When the trust term ends, the assets may be directed to Saint Bede to support our mission.
Life Insurance
You can support Saint Bede by naming the Academy as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy. Simply update your beneficiary designation form with your insurance provider. Saint Bede Academy can be listed as a primary, secondary, or partial beneficiary.
Retirement Assets
Through retirement accounts such as your IRA, 401(k), or 403(b), you can support the mission of Saint Bede. This planned giving option may help reduce the tax burden on your heirs.
