Gratitude is the fountain of faith.  It has the unique capability of humbling us while elevating our souls.

  • Juniors you have John Grossman visiting on Wednesday, Freshmen on Thursday morning and Sophomores Thursday afternoon. Relaxed dress will be allowed.  Please dress comfy but respectful.  Juniors will report to your A period class tomorrow for the prayer service and then proceed to the gym for your retreat.  Freshmen report directly to the gym Thursday DO NOT report to your A period class.

  • Everyone signed up for the variety show will need to be the church at 7 pm to rehearse on tonight. Once you have performed you may leave. Everyone will need to bring recorded music if needed and a face mask.

  • A link will be sent to juniors and seniors via SBA email account, for those interested in attending prom (May 1).  This is the ONLY WAY to sign up for prom. Deadline is this Friday, April 16. 

  • The Habitat for Humanity home build has begun.  If you want to volunteer to help this Saturday, see Fr. Ronald or put your name on the sign-up sheet on his office door. Yow will get service hours while being part of a truly great project.

  • If you are interested in running for a position on the student government executive board – listen up! Students interested in the positions of President or Vice-President must be in the current junior class and have had at least one year of experience as a student government member. The positions of Treasurer and Secretary require a year of student government experience. To have your name placed on the ballot and to go over the rules and expectations, please see Mrs. Manning by Wednesday, April 21 @ 2 pm. No exceptions will be allowed beyond this deadline. The election will be held on Friday, April 23.

  • The Habitat for Humanity home build has begun. If you want to volunteer to help, see Fr. Ronald or put your name on the sign-up sheet on his office door. Yow will get service hours while being part of a truly great project.

  • During Lent we generously support a number of charities. The following gifts were made:

    $1,600 to the village of Kamakwie in Sierra Leone.

    $ 750 to Smile Train to insure corrective surgery for 3 children with cleft palates.

    $1,000 to Zakat to provide 2 pumps to ensure fresh water for a village in Cambodia and another in a place to be announced.

    $ 900 to Heifer International that distributes animals, along with agricultural and values-based training, to families in need around the world as a means of providing self-sufficiency.

    $ 350 to Catholic Relief Services to help the hungry throughout the world.

Again, thank you so much for your continued generosity to our needy sisters and brothers near and far.

  • Congratulations to Nick Kerasotes for successfully completing his Eagle Scout project and having it approved by the local council last night.  Nick’s project is simply waiting for National approval to gain official Eagle Scout status.  Overall, based on the number of people who get involved in scouting, only 2-4% will attain Eagle Scout status.  Nick is in very elite company and joins many Saint Bede alum who have achieved the Eagle Scout ranking!
