8th Grade Shadow Days

Are you interested in learning more about the high school experience at St. Bede Academy? Sign up for a day on our campus and see what St. Bede looks like from a student’s eyes! You’ll sit in on freshman classes, meet current students and teachers of SBA, have lunch on campus, and learn what makes St. Bede the school that it is! Students do NOT have to be accepted to St. Bede Academy to attend - all local 8th graders are welcome!

We ask that your student be dropped off at the Abbot Vincent Gymnasium at St. Bede Academy by 8:30AM in a modest dress code. Acceptable attire includes shorts, khakis, dress pants, slacks, skirts, polos, sweaters/sweatshirts, light jackets, etc. We request no jeans, leggings as pants, or sweatpants be worn. Typically, students at St. Bede wear polos/sweaters with khaki shorts or pants, or skirts. Students will travel through the school as our current students do, so a comfortable pair of shoes is also recommended. 

The day begins with activities with our Ambassadors and teachers, similar to what they may experience in a class. From here, they will be paired with a freshman who will bring them along for their classes and lunch, allowing your child to see what their day may look like in the fall of 2026. The day concludes with a question and answer session in the Abbey Church (north of the Perino Science Center). Students may be picked up here at 1:45.

Lunch will be provided for all students - there is no charge to families! If a student would like to bring their own lunch, they may do so and it will be available at their lunch time.
