All of our efforts to avoid the difficulties of life lead us far away from everything that is deeply satisfying.

  • Last Supper Club outing to Dick's in Ladd this evening.  Sign- up sheet on Fr. Ronald's door.  Please sign up by noon today.

  • Those going on Ski trip and Polar Plunge members turn in your permission forms to Fr. Ronald by tomorrow.

  • Lectio today during lunch periods is Mrs. Prushinki's room #111.  If you are unable to attend, let Fr. Ronald know now, so that the right number Bruin Bowls are prepared.  Newcomers always welcome.

  • Scholastic Bowl practice after school in the art studio.

  • The Turnabout Dance will be on Saturday, March 5 from 7-9 pm in the gym. You can purchase tickets in Mrs. Manning’s room (26/28) throughout the day during homeroom, passing periods, and lunch through Friday, Feb. 25. She’ll also be available before school starting at 7:30 am daily. The cost is $5.00 per person. The following rules will be in place: 

    •           You DO NOT have to fill out a Covid form in order to attend. However, EVERYONE will be required to wear a mask. If you are not wearing one during the dance you will be asked to leave. 

    •           You may bring a guest from another school. Saint Bede students are responsible for picking up a guest form in the main office AND returning it to the main office by Monday, Feb. 28. This date is firm and no exceptions will be allowed.

  • Service Hours Opportunity for this Saturday February 2/19:  Serena Rogers at Washington Jr High in Oglesby is in need of volunteers to help paint a backdrop for their musical.  It will be starting around 12:00 and last about 2-3 hours.  If able to help please email music@oglesbysos.org or armstrongs@ops125.net, text or call 815-556-9338.  Information is also posted on the Service Opportunities document in x2vol.

  • Service Hours Opportunities for March and April:  Utica Knights of Columbus need students to help with their Lenten Fish Fries. From 4:00 PM-7:00 PM Dates:  Friday March 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th, April 1st and 8th. Contact:  Mrs. Prushinski to sign-up; Rm 111 or sprushinski@st-bede.com
