  • SAT Word of the Day:

    • fallacious (adj.) incorrect, misleading 

      • Mr. Steben told a FALLACIOUS story about his athletic achievements and awards.

  • St Bede is happy to begin FCA, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, here at the Academy. Bears QB, Case Keenum was active in FCA when he was in High School along with many other athletes who are positive role models today.  FCA is especially geared for Athletes and Coaches but is open to all. The meetings are referred to as Huddles and provide support and strength though sharing and Scripture searches. FCA Huddles are student led, with input from Coaches and former High School athletes. The first Huddle will be this Tuesday, Oct 14th in Room 127 at 7:15 AM.  Thereafter, FCA will meet every other Tuesday during the school year. A snack will be provided, and all are welcome!

  • Junior and senior powderpuff players- please make arrangements to pay for and pick up your shirt before tonight’s game! Shirts will be available in the loft during homeroom and outside of the refectory during both lunches. Stop and see Mrs. Theisinger in her office if you need to get your shirt during a study hall or after school.

  • Girls: Want to participate in prayer, sacrament, friendship, food, and fun? Then TEC is meant for you! The upcoming girls TEC weekend is Oct. 17-19th. That is next weekend! If you want to learn more, there will be a brief informational meeting tomorrow after school in the Loft. 

  • Students helping with the confirmation retreat should bring their lunch to the 1st floor conference room (across from the Loft) today for a meeting.

  • The Powderpuff Football game is TONIGHT! Kickoff is at 6:45 - be there, pack the stands, and be loud!
