  • SAT Word of the Day:

    • torpid (adj.) lethargic, dormant, lacking motion

      • The TORPID whale floated, wallowing in the water for hours.

  • If you see decorations up in the hallway, please do not pick at, tear down, or otherwise interfere with them. Student organizations work hard to decorate our school throughout the year and everyone deserves the opportunity to see our school looking its best. Thank you for your cooperation!

  • Seniors interested in representing St. Bede by attending a Rotary meeting during the school year. See Ms. Bernabei or Mr. Steben to sign up and get a permission form.

  • There will be a yearbook picture taken during homeroom for everyone wanting to participate. If you are dressed for blackout, meet on the steps of the gym outside. Students dressed for white out photo in the science center.  Please be prompt so you are not late to period D.

  • Lady Bruins- just a reminder that on the spirit week flyer it very clearly stated that short shorts could not be worn. Several of you are already in violation of this. If this does not improve beginning tomorrow, you will not be allowed to participate in the rest of the themed days this week.

  • If you want to learn more about different cultures from around the world--many represented by the diverse student body at Saint Bede Academy--should consider becoming a member of Heritage Club. Any students who are interested in joining Heritage Club should join our Google Classroom:  kg3yg4g. See Mrs. Rynkewicz in room 204 for more information.

  • Any student who would like information about Illinois Association of Teachers of English's poetry, prose, art, & photography contest should see Mrs. Rynkewicz in room 204. Last year, Saint Bede students won awards for their entries and some will have their work printed in IATE's student work publication.
