Being thankful must become a holy discipline. Gratefulness is a choice, an act of will, especially when you face unpleasant or distressing situations.

  • SAT Word of the Day:

  • The deadline for our Christmas Toy Drive is just over a week away on December 5.  Let's do our annual great job of making the Christmas of young people better.

  • Not too late to sign up for Girls' TEC this coming weekend of December 2-4.  If you need an application or more information, see Fr. Ronald.

  • Help needed to complete the mailing for Habitat for Humanity.  See Fr. Ronald or Mr. Hancock for details.  Service hours are possible or just do it because it is a great cause.

  • Don’t forget Tuesday night visit the celebration of lights at LaSalle’s Rotary Park.  St. Bede volunteers will be collecting donations and half of those proceeds will go to St. Bede Academy.

  • Students are encouraged to decorate Christmas Ornaments for the Veterans at the LaSalle Veteran's Home this Wednesday after school. See Mr. Davy in room 227 for details and sign-up.

  • It is that time of year to sign up for the WYSE competition.  This competition is a series of tests for juniors and seniors to flex your college readiness for a science/engineering field. Categories for tests include Chemistry, Physics, English, Biology, Engineering Graphics, Computer Science, and Math. There will be an after-school meeting on Wednesday 11/29.  If you are unable to make it, stop by and talk to Mr Fitz.   • Scholastic Bowl practice this week is Thursday after school in the art studio.

  • There will be a yearbook meeting tomorrow after school from 1:45-2:30  to discuss theme and cover ideas.  If you would like to help with the cover and theme, please attend.
