  • All students- be checking your email and the announcements closely for information about running as a class representative for the 2025-2026 school year. This election will take place in the weeks after the executive board is chosen.

  • POWDERPUFF VOLLEYBALL GAME will be this Friday, May 2 @ 6:00pm in the gym! Come watch the senior boys play the junior boys in volleyball. Those seniors interested in playing should contact Phillip Gray and those juniors interested in playing should contact AJ Hermes!

  • Check out Bailey Engels’ signing day after school in the Perino Science Center at 3:00, as she signs to play tennis for Coe College. Congrats, Bailey!

  • Thank you to the students, staff and faculty who donated blood or volunteered to work at the St. Bede Blood Drive!  We collected 62 units of blood yesterday. Combined with our February drive, we’ve collected a total of 110 units of blood, potentially saving up to 330 lives which is an incredible achievement. Because of this success, the Red Cross is not only awarding a $1,000 scholarship but an additional $500 scholarship. The drawing for seniors will be held on May 7th during graduation practice. Thank you for making a life-saving impact!

  • Juniors and Seniors- Prom is THIS Saturday at the Auditorium Ballroom in downtown LaSalle. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Dinner begins at 6:30. You will leave the venue at 9:30 p.m. and report directly to the Abbey Church for mandatory mass. T-shirts will be handed out after mass. You will not receive your t-shirt if you are not present at mass. Please be smart, make good choices and remember that you are representatives of St. Bede while out taking pictures, at the venue and interacting with our vendors.

  • Students taking AP exams- on exam day you will meet outside the boarding dormitory doors (next to refectory). If your exam begins at 8:00 am be lined up and ready to go by 7:45. If you are taking a 12:00 pm exam be lined up and ready to go by 11:45 am. Please know your College Board username and password to get into Bluebook. Bring a No. 2 pencil and make sure your chromebook is FULLY charged.

  • If you are donating blood on April 29th, make sure you’re prepared by staying hydrated and eating iron and vitamin C-rich foods like meat, fish, beans and oranges.  There is still time to sign up, just stop by the Development Office. Walk-ins on the day are also welcomed.

  • Stop by the picnic shelter Friday from 3-6pm and check out the St. Bede Boarding Students Flea Market. A variety of gently used items will be available from electronics to room decorations and clothing. Cash only.

  • If you are a student government member who is interested in running for President, Vice President, Secretary, or Treasurer, please stop and see Mrs. Theisinger for a petition or any questions. You are required to have 25 signatures from current students. Elections for these positions will be held on Friday, May 2. Petitions will need to be turned in by Wednesday, April 30 although encouraged sooner!

  • Seniors: May 1st is the National College Decision Day deadline for students to submit their enrollment deposit to the college they plan to attend! If you miss the deadline you will lose the opportunity to attend that college.  Get your deposits in today if you have not already done so.

  • Students attending the Costa Rica trip in December, please enter your passport information into your EF account by the end of this school year.  If you don’t have a passport get your application submitted asap so you can complete the interview process before school starts in August.

      BRUIN SPORTS CENTER

    • Congratulations to both girls and boys track teams for their outstanding showing at the Rollie Morris Invitational. Leading the lady bruins was Lily Bosnich who won four events. 100m, 100m hurdles, 200m and the 300m hurdles. Her 100m time set a new St. Bede track record and her 100m hurdle time set a new Rollie Morris event record. Kate Duncan was 2nd in the High Jump and 6th in the Triple Jump. The 4 x 100 relay of Emerald De La Torre, Leah Griggs, Bailey Engels and Kijah Lucas finished 2nd. Leah was a also 5th in the long Jump and 6th in the 200m. Kijah was 6th in the long jump. Maggie Arkins was 5th in the 800m and teaming with Emerald, Bailey, and Sara Ruiz they were 5th in the 4 x 400 relay. Rounding out the lady bruins third place team finish was Libby Huffaker and Lacey Griggs who were 9th and 20th respectively in the discus, Ella Lamboley was 11th in the 1600m, Areesah Joop 13th in the 400, and Sara 14th in the 800.
      For the Guys they were led by Greyson Marincic who won both the 110m and 300m hurdles, he teamed up with Kennon Grisham, Trajan Raffity, and Landon Balestri for a 7th in the 4x100 relay and Kennon, Jose De La Torre and Kaden Nauman for 5th in the 4 x 400 relay. Kaden also ran to 3rd place in the 800m, Kennon 4th and 7th in the 110 and 300 hurdles respectively and Jose was 4th in the Pole Vault. Wil Sramek was 4th in the Discus and 6th in the shot put. Rounding out the guy’s 8th place team finish was Trajan’s 6th and 9th place in the pole vault and 100m, and Jack Maschmann 13th and 18th in the discus and shot put.

    • The Men's tennis team was victorious in its first match of the season taking the "lid-lifter" 3 games to two against Aurora Central Catholic. The match was even at 2 games apiece before Tyler Walsh & Isaac Kang won their 2 hour tilt in three sets sealing the win for the Bruins!
