SAT Word of the Day:

  • nomadic (adj.) wandering from place to place 

    • In the first six months after college, Jose led a NOMADIC life, living in New York, California, and Idaho.

  • All seniors attending the Illinois Holocaust Museum field trip MUST meet in the refectory during homeroom on Tues., Oct. 28, BEFORE GOING TO ANY OTHER MEETING. ACC students going on the trip MUST get to school before the start of homeroom on Oct. 28.

  • Attention Scholastic Bowl shirt order deadline is Thursday evening at 11:59pm.

  • Scholastic Bowl practice Thursday after school.

  • Boys Basketball open gym Tuesday from 5:15-6:45. Our first official tryout/practices will be November 10th.

  • Volunteers are needed to give blood next Tuesday as Saint Bede, in conjunction with American Red Cross, will host a blood drive next Tuesday - November 4th in the Perino Science Center - workers and their blood are both needed! Permission slips will be available at the table outside of the refectory for the rest of the week. Stop by and pick one up so you too can be a donor.

  • Volunteers are needed to work Volleyball tournaments at Academy of St. Carlo Acutis on November 7th & 8th as well as November 21st & 22nd. See Mr. Davy to sign up to volunteer and earn Service Hours!

  • With Christmas right around the corner, there are volunteer opportunities ready to kick off the holiday season that need our help. If you would like to volunteer for the Frosty on First Celebration on Saturday, November 8, the City of LaSalle needs volunteers to help supervise their winter activities downtown. Sign up for 2 hour shifts outside Mr. Steben’s office ASAP!

  • Ambassadors - we will meet Thursday during homeroom.

  • Seniors, see your email for the Elks Teen of the Month application due to Ms. Bernabei by Monday. This should be a fairly easy application for you to complete. You can copy and paste a lot of the information from your academic resume into the Elks application.

HOMEROOM MEETINGS

  • All seniors attending the Illinois Holocaust Museum field trip MUST meet in the refectory now. GO HERE BEFORE GOING TO ANY OTHER MEETING.

  • Would the following students please see Mrs. Rapp in Room 121: Ella Mudge, Ashlan Heersink, Caleb Heersink, Hannah Heiberger, Madelyn Kueker, Gavin Lamboley, Landon Marquez, Ian Maurer and Max Moreno.

  • The following students need to go to the main office now: Faith Ankiewicz, Caden Carls, Battista Verucchi, and Emma Huffaker.   

  • All Cross-Country runners meet Mr. Makransky in the Loft today during Homeroom.

  • Lily Bosnich & Lin Lin see Ms. Bernabei.
